A Touch From Above – Veterans Christian Transitional Program is needed today more than ever!  Twenty one veterans each day commit suicide across the United States, and our streets are filled with our brave heroes who have lost hope. Many veterans have turned to drinking and drugs, looking for an escape, tormented inside and need help to escape from the invisible prison that holds their minds captive.

Our Goal and Purpose:   Five T’s

Tranquility: Provide a place of peace in a drug and alcohol free setting.

Trust: Help each veteran build trust and lasting relationships once again.

Trade: Equip and train each veteran with a trade they can be proud of to start their new career.

Transition:  Rebuild confidence for the civilian workforce.

Transformation: Bible classes and Christian counseling to renew their minds, help overcome the trauma and discover who they are in Christ Jesus.

Fort Carson CO – Thank you
Colonel Ralph Kling

As we look forward with hope, we must never forget to reach out to the military. Many wounded veterans, who have volunteered to protect our nation and our freedom pay a high price; separation from their families, some said goodbye to their loved ones, going off to war, and some never returned. Many shed their blood, some were prisoners of war in Germany, Japan, China, Vietnam, Iraq & Afghanistan.  Those fortunate to return remain silent about the fears, torture and unspeakable things they saw and experienced.

Many try to forget in the bottle or numb the pain with drugs.  How can they express what happened?  Who can understand?   Jesus laid His life down for others. He departed from His mother and friends to stand in the gap for the freedom of the whole world.  Jesus was tortured at the hands of His enemies, shed his blood and took His last breath as His captors looked on in victory.

John 15:13; Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

It is our turn to help, to give hope in their times of brokenness and pain.  To bring healing to their broken bodies, peace to their tormented minds, and hope for their future, and hope is Jesus Christ!

My heart has been burdened for many years, and I have reached out to our Armed Forces for over 38 years; to the soldiers of Fort Carson, CO; the airmen at Peterson Air Force Base; Air Force Academy cadets & officers; prayer meetings with soldiers deploying to Desert Storm prior to their departure; ministering to their wives and children while they were gone; sharing Christ and praying for healing with World War II & Vietnam Veterans; and in Seoul, Korea.

It was with much prayer and fasting, upon relocating our ministry, I asked the Lord where do you want us to go?  The answer was San Diego, CA.  In those 20 years, we have reached out to veterans who lost their homes in the two epic fires. We have traveled in Support of our Troops on a 23 city tour from San Diego to Washington D.C.; produced a music CD, “Our Liberty,” given free to our military, “Support Our Troop,” rallies in the county.

Why? Because Jesus loves our military men and women. He sees them; some homeless on the streets of San Diego, some successful in life, business; yet inside they are living with memories they cannot erase and turmoil they do not know how to overcome.

Luke 4:18; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.  He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

God has opened the door for our new building in the heart of San Diego, a stone’s throw from the entrance to the 32nd Street Naval Base.  In our church today we have Vietnam Veterans and soldiers delivered from alcoholism; an active duty marine whose life and family has been completely transformed by Jesus.

One Sunday, a homeless marine “gunny” stumbled into our service drunk and sleeping on the streets.  He prayed with tears to receive Christ, the power of the Lord touched him, and he left rejoicing with hope in his heart.  We are committed to help him, and as many as we can, we will leave “NO MAN BEHIND!”  Please pray as we have launched our official “A Touch From Above – Veterans Christian Transitional Program ” outreach.

Please give! Show you honor and love our veterans!
